Taylor Swift THE ERAS TOUR

It’s the biggest show in the world right now, and as it rolls through Sydney the whole city is in a frenzy.

We were so intrigued to see it with our own eyes, and last night Taylor Swift made good on all the hype.

Despite the monstrous size of the stage and the huge stadiums she is playing on this tour, Taylor manages to fill the space with her sheer star power and presence.

The set list is mammoth to say the least – with a whopping 45 songs, spanning 2 decades of music. The show runs 3.5 hours, with Taylor barely leaving the stage – putting her in the leagues of Bruce Springsteen and Prince in terms of stage endurance.

Taylor takes fans through each album era, allowing the show to shift sound and mood, echoing her growth and evolution as an artist.

Fans are given wrist bands upon entry, which light up in sync in a variety of colours and patterns to fill the stadium with sparkle.

Taylor basked in the love from her fans – all die-hards who spent the time before she came on stage trading custom friendship bracelets and complimenting each other on their outfits.

The staging and production of this show is a sight to behold. A massive runway, huge video screens, fire and steam jets, a cast of dancers, beautiful sets and a stunning wardrobe… The Eras Tour is a visual spectacle that could easily swallow up an artist or make the show feel impersonal. But we still walked away at the end of the night feeling we’d had a personal encounter with Taylor. Incredible to think 80,000 people probably felt the exact same way.
