ULTIMATE LGBT HONEYMOON: LAS VEGAS

There are so many fabulous international destinations to choose from when planning your honeymoon. We’re going to help you decide by showing you our ultimate destinations and the best that each city has to offer. Where to stay, what to do, and how to make your honeymoon as memorable as possible.

Let’s take a deep dive into a city known for dazzling lights, entertainment and sin. Where else but Las Vegas?!

So many factors to consider when choosing a hotel. You definitely want to stay on the strip, so you can easily move between the various casinos and venues you want to hit. You’ll want somewhere that is LGBT friendly, and somewhere that feels romantic.

We highly recommend The Venetian Resort. The suites here are practically twice the size of your average hotel room on the Vegas Strip. World class restaurants, a breathtaking 5-acre pool and garden deck, two casinos, the iconic Grand Canal Shoppes… oh, and click here to take a look at the iconic gondola ride! Offering all the romance and grandeur of its namesake – The Venetian brings the soul of Renaissance Venice to Sin City. Read more about The Venetian here.

If entertainment ranks high on your priorities, a Vegas honeymoon is where it’s at. On any given day you can catch a variety of world-class acts performing at every casino on the strip. If you love charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent you have to hit RuPaul’s Drage Race Live! at The Flamingo. A cast of queens from the TV phenomenon perform this extravagant stage show which literally makes you feel you’ve been transported into an episode of “All Stars”. Take a look at the eleganza here.

And every night there is a variety of artists performing their residences. We caught a performance from Shania Twain who brought the house down at Planet Hollywood. Take a look at her incredible show here. These residencies are renowned for huge stages, elaborate costumes and major star power. Be sure to check out who is playing on your dates as these shows rotate.

If you love classic pop songs, dance and acrobatics you must see Michael Jackson ONE from Cirque Du Soleil. A 63-person cast bring all the hits to life with dance, electrifying musicians and spectacular aerialists. Read more about this dazzling show here.

The temperature can soar in Vegas and there is nothing more refreshing than a cocktail and dip in any one of the resorts pools. If you’re looking for a specifically gay splash you have to hit up Temptation Sundays at The Luxor. This is LV’s longest running gay pool party and is the hottest day party on the Strip. DJs, VIP cabanas, sexy go-go boys, bars and the most incredible pool with the Luxor pyramid in the background. Read more about this must-do event here.

And then if you want to finish off your day by taking in the Vegas lights, there is no better view than from The High Roller. Similar to the London Eye (only way taller!) this observation wheel takes you 550 feet above the Strip for the most breathtaking 360 degree view. You can even book a one-of-a-kind cocktail experience by booking a luxury cabin with an open bar for the full half hour rotation of the wheel. There is no doubt that Vegas ticks many boxes, and that’s without even mentioning the possibility of winning the slots. This is a party town like no other, with the drinks constantly flowing day and night. So if you’re looking at having a wild time, don’t forget the famous saying – “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!”
