FOSSE, FOSSE, FOSSE!

Episode two of 90sGAY is live and this time we cover some of the greatest moments in 90’s cinema.

We conclude our chat with legendary director and choreographer Vincent Paterson – the man responsible for the most iconic moments from Madonna and Michael Jackson.

On this episode Vincent talks about his work on the big screen. We get his insight into working with the iconic pairing of Robin Williams and Nathan Lane in The Birdcage.

Not only was this film a box office smash, but it also provided some groundbreaking representation. This was a mainstream 90’s Hollywood film with a gay couple as the two lead characters.

We also find out all that went into the creation of the film’s legendary dance scene. “You do Fosse, Fosse, Fosse! You do Martha Graham, Martha Graham, Martha Graham!”

Vincent reunites with Madonna, as he choreographs the biggest movie role of her career – the film adaptation of Evita. Hear all about her tireless transformation into Eva Perón.

We also hear Vincent’s thoughts on the upcoming Michael Jackson and Madonna biopics.

Vincent’s autobiography Icons & Instincts is available now.
