Watching the new Pussycat Dolls video, you’d never guess 10 years have passed since they heated up our screens together. They look better than ever, and their new song is a total bop.
Last December the group reunited to perform on the UK’s ‘X Factor’ finale, where lead doll Nicole Scherzinger is a judge. PCD instantly became top trending news around the world, and video of the performance clocked 10 million views. Unbelievably, Kimberly Wyatt gave birth to her 3rdchild just 6 weeks before the performance.
The girls will hit Australia as part of the ‘SO POP’ tour in April, joined by fellow guilty pleasures Steps, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Smash Mouth.
Originally formed as the brainchild of choreographer Robin Antin, the Pussycat Dolls started life as a burlesque cabaret act at Johnny Depp’s Viper Room on LA’s Sunset Strip. After attracting cameos from Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and appearing in ‘Charlie’s Angels’ with Cameron Diaz, Antin struck a deal to turn her brand into a pop act. The group enjoyed an incredible run, with platinum hits like ‘Buttons’, ‘When I Grow Up’, ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Stickwitu’ – along with a reality show and a Las Vegas night club.
