CHIN CHIN

Put simply, Chin Chin is a culinary institution. First opening in Melbourne in 2011, we dined there whenever me were in town and loved their funky vibe and Asian fusion menu.

We were thrilled when they opened a Sydney location, in the heritage-listed Griffiths Tea building at the corner of Goulburn and Wentworth Street in Darlinghurst, and have dined there countless times since.

The detail and flavour in every dish is spectacular, giving a total sensory overload. You can’t go wrong selecting anything off their menu that catches your eye, but most times we will choose one of their “Feed Me” banquet options.

Especially if dining with a larger group, this is always a winner.

You get to try a wide variety of their most popular dishes, quite often getting a dish or two in the mix that you wouldn’t have thought to order. This is exactly how we have discovered many dishes that have ended up being our must-haves every time we dine – eg. The Kingfish Sashimi! The mix of lime, chilli, coconut and Thai basil is mind-blowing.

Other highlights include the Beef Pad Seuw which every person we’ve ever taken has fallen in love with.

We recently dined here with friends who hadn’t been yet, and they loved it so much they asked to re-book again for a birthday the following week. We could have gone anywhere, but the whole group opted to come back again and do the exact same menu – it was that good!
