THE SONGWRITER TOUR

Grammy-winning pop icon, Richard Marx is touring Australia and New Zealand Feb-Mar 2023 with The Songwriter Tour.

The 12-date tour will play Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Brisbane, Tweed Heads, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong, Penrith & Perth.

“I couldn’t be more excited to return to my home away from home, Australia, to perform for the fans once again,” said Marx. “That I’ll also finally be able to play my first ever concerts in New Zealand is icing on the cake. Can’t wait to get there.”

The tour is in celebration of his newly released thirteenth studio album, Songwriter. The multi-genre-spanning concept album is broken into four acts – pop, rock, country and ballads. We’ve had a listen and loved what we heard – nowhere more than the ballads, which are beyond exquisite.

Marx is a cultural touchstone, whose influence remains steadfast in pop culture today having written #1 hits in each of the past four decades – a feat previously only Michael Jackson had achieved.

His catalogue of classic hits has endured over time, equally loved by multiple generations. Now And Forever, Endless Summer Nights, Satisfied, Should’ve Known Better, Hazard, Right Here Waiting… all pop standards that remain on playlists and all over radio.

He’s also responsible for writing major hits for everyone from NSync (This I Promise You) to Luther Vandross (Dance With My Father) and Keith Urban (Long Hot Summer).

We got to see him on his 2016 Australian tour and he is a formidable live act. His voice in the room is electric, and he carries himself with the type of charisma and ease on stage that only a few possess. We’ll never forget one moment where he stepped away from the mic and sang out using only the acoustics of the room. You could hear a pin drop as his voice caused goosebumps throughout the entire theatre.

Don’t miss the captivating voice of Richard Marx with his live band performing his biggest hits and songs from the new album. Tickets via: www.frontiertouring.com/richardmarx
