This is your Disney Dream Hotel!
On our recent trip to the United States we got to spend time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Whilst visiting Disneyland we were lucky enough to stay at the Howard Johnson Anaheim which is just an 8 minute walk to the gates of Disneyland – you can literally see the Matterhorn. Talk about location, location, location!
HOJO Anaheim is honestly a dream stay whilst visiting Disney. They are a resort style hotel with the magic of Disney everywhere you look. There was literally a rainbow in the sky above the hotel when we arrived.
The hotel features 24-hour front desk complete with amazing staff! They are there to assist you with any needs and to keep you comfortable during your stay. Several times we commented to each other that we don’t remember ever coming across more genuinely friendly and helpful staff.
We stayed in a Disney themed double room over looking park, which was decked out with two super comfy Queen pillow top beds.
The room also had a flat screen TV – but unlike many hotels, there were premium channels to choose from – HBO, Hulu, ESPN, Neflix and of course the Disney channel. There was also a work desk and seperate dining table.
The large bathroom had a double sink, light up vanity mirror and cute decor.
There was also a small fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Plus free WiFi throughout.
The hotel boasts a water playground called Pirate’s Cove, which looked fun for kids – but the Garden Pool was more our jam.
We stayed during Summer so the Garden Pool came in very handy. It’s is surrounded by lush gardens and shady trees, with a cool soundtrack playing and staff on duty with fresh towels. The hotel also has a coin-operated laundry room, which came in handy as we had our fair share of washing.
The hotel’s store Main St. Market is where you can grab food items, beer and wine, or souvenirs. As far as dining, right next door is Mimi’s Cafe Restaurant, serving up classic American food with New Orleans atmosphere. A matter of steps from the hotel you have McDonalds, Panera Bread, Denny’s, IHOP and a whole host of options.
We can’t recommend the Howard Johnson Anaheim enough! If you want a magical stay and the convenience of being just moments from the park, this is the perfect accomodation.
