THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

It’s a big title, and Disneyland may be the only place that lives up to the hype. If you are yet to visit a Disney theme park, the OG Disneyland in California is a great spot to start. This place brings out the kid in everyone and totally makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. From the moment you walk through the gates you’re swept away by the magic and nostalgia.
Parades, characters, delicious food and thrilling rides are just some of the fun that has kept people coming back for over 60 years.

When it comes to entertainment no one does it like Disney. Wandering through the park we passed Mickey and a group of singers and dancers performing a number from ‘Newsies’ on the street, as we wandered into the Hyperion Theatre to watch a full Broadway-scale ‘Frozen’ musical.

The newly opened Pixar Pier is a California boardwalk where Pixar stories come to life. The Incredicoaster is a wild ride lead by baby Jack-Jack from ‘The Incredibles’. Jessie’s Critter Carousel is an adventure starring the cowgirl from ‘Toy Story’. The stores on Main Street house the most extensive range of Disney merch you can imagine, and the food found at all the eateries throughout the park is delish and surprisingly not ridiculously expensive.

The perfect way to end a day full of rides is watching Fantasmic. The legendary show takes place on the water and features cameos from all your fav characters. At the centre is Mickey, fighting a huge animatronic fire-breathing dragon. The combo of the classic soundtrack and the fireworks will give you all of the feels!
